Chapter 13
Friday was a blur for both men. Peter met Jordan Richmond and concurred with Trevor that he would make a fine addition to the clinic. They hired Lorna Webber as the clinic nurse. Bernice was a bit earlier than usual and wearing a wide smile.
“Fair to assume everything went well with Cody?” Peter had been worried about the nightmares.
“He slept like a baby. After he heard Russell on the phone the smile stayed on his face until bedtime. We weren’t sure if the dog slept on the bed at home but we let him stay with Cody anyway.”
“They bonded quite well. Yes, he pretty much sticks close to Cody all the time. Well, except for bath time, when he heads for the hills. That was too funny. I’ll have to be ready with a camera so we can catch those priceless moments forever.”
