Chapter 5 The drive was breathtaking. The mountains were stark granite reminders of how humble humans really were. There was lush green where the trees grew up the side, stunning grey up from the tree-line, and some of the taller peaks had a fringe of snow crowning the top. Russell had long ago fallen in love with them and had spent a lot of his free time camping and hiking in the area. There were rich fossil deposits around, as well. He recalled wondering how such bizarre-shaped creatures could ever exist. They stopped in the Banff Township for lunch. “So, what’s on our agenda for the next two nights, Russell?
