Standing at the top of the steps that led to the grand ballroom made me realize that I was more than ready to get this over with. I just want to be in Gia’s arms and forget about today. But I have to suffer in order to relax.  The fanfare began to play and my hand wrapped around the railing so I wouldn’t fall. My feet slowly carried me down the steps and in the audience were the two people I cared for most. My father and Gia.
