I know he's Lilly's father and he would be at her wedding rehearsal, but that didn't mean I would have to talk to him.

"Yeah. Sorry I'm late, but the baby didn't agree with tacos."
"Here," she says as she leads me to a table, "There are crackers and ginger ale."
"That's okay. I'm feeling better now."
She nods as she picks up a handful of crackers. I widen my eyes when she starts stuffing her mouth. She crunches on the crackers and takes a drink from her soda.
