Nikita POV Three hours later and I have to pee so bad. Jax must notice the strain on my face. The gun clicks off and he rolls his stool back. "Ten minutes. Then we finish it. Ok?" I nod my head and quickly stand up. The tattoo didn't hurt all that much, mostly just sore. I quickly make my way into the hall and turned to Jax. "Bathroom.""Down the hall. Straight back." I nod my head and take off. "And don't look!"he yells as I slip in. I quickly relieve myself and wash my hands. Im so tempted to look, but Jax will know. Somehow he always figures s**t out. I dry my hands off and exit the bathroom. Mari is standing up the hall, whispering to Jax. It's hard to hear, but I catch most of it. "No Jax." "Please Mar. She won't talk to me unless she's drunk. She hates me. And I have no idea why.""Well. That's for her to say." "Mar, you've known me........please tell me.... It's.....me." I watch as Mari shakes her head and walks away. Jax clenches his fists and lets out a staggering breath. He looks over and notices me. I quickly jump into action, acting like I didn't hear a word. "Ready?" I ask. He nods his head and we head back into the room. I resume my position along with Mari and Jax, and it begins. ***** Three more hours later and I begin to doze to be honest. I almost jump when Jax cuts the machine off and rolls back. "All done." "Finally. I'm sleepy." Jax spreads some ointment on it and smiles. "You're the first person to ever fall asleep in my chair with their first tattoo." Mari giggles and I shrug. "Nap game strong." Jax laughs and motions for me to look. I head over to the mirror and see that the art stretches from right beside my breast area and down almost to my hip. My mouth drops at all the detail and shading he did. It looks amazing. Mari snaps a picture of it before she looks at me. "Aww sweetie. Don't cry. It's beautiful." Shit. Im crying in front of Jax. I quickly wipe my tears and turn to face him. He give me a sleight smile and nods. "It's beautiful Jax. Really beautiful. How much do I owe you?" He shakes his head and lifts his hands. "Nothing." Really? "No. I need to pay you. Please." He takes a minute as if he's thinking about it. He smirks and looks me dead in my eyes. "Let me take you to dinner. It's almost ten and I know for a fact you haven't eaten yet." I begin to shake my head, but Mari jumps in. "Yes. She will. Thank you Jax. Plus I have to get back to Zain." She gives me a smile while I glare at her. Of. f*****g. Course. "Fine. But I choose." Jax laughs and nods. "As always." Mari gives us a quick hug and walks to the door. Before she leaves she turns to me and mouths "Talk." I roll my eyes and turn back to Jax. "Taco truck on eighth?" He asks. He remembers. "Duh." I respond, which makes him grin. He quickly cleans up and we walk out the door in the back. I look around for his car, but disappointment sets in when I realize we have to walk. I begin to walk, rather quickly, while Jax remains still. "Do you really think we're walking?" I stop. I turn back around and he pulls out a helmet. Shit. The bike. He climbs onto the bike and motions for me to climb on as well. I roll my eyes and do the same. He hands me the helmet but I push it back to him. "You need it. You're driving." He laughs and pushes it back to me. "Yeah. But you need it more than me." I shake my head. He climbs off the bike and puts the helmet on me as I cross my arms like some five year old. "Happy?" I ask after I lift the face shield. "Never better" he grins. Smartass. He climbs back on and guns the gas, making me grip onto his chest. Jolts of pleasure shoot up my arms, warming my core. Moisture begins to pool at my center beneath my jeans. His intoxicating scent infiltrates my nose, making my head dizzy with memories of past summer nights. I grip his chest a little tighter, as a few tears roll down my face. Ten minutes later and we're pulling up to my favorite food truck. I can already smell the tacos. Mmmmmmmmmm I guess Jax heard my silent moan because at that exact moment his chest rumbles. "Always the same." I roll my eyes, cause that is so far from the truth. No matter how bad my body wants this, things will never be the same. I hop off the bike and take the helmet off. Jax busts out laughing as I set it back on his bike. "What's funny, pretty boy?" I ask. "Your hair." My eyes go wide. "You look like you've been electrocuted." I quickly run my fingers through my hair and pull it into a messy bun. "Better?" He nods. We begin walking to the truck. "Didn't know you cared what I thought." He half whispers. We then reach the window and I turn to look at him. "I don't." He nods and smirks as the lady walks over to take our order. "¿Que necesitas?" "Ahhh.....Doce tacos y dos horchatas. Grande" Jax says, shocking the hell out of me. Since when does he speak spanish? The lady looks over to me and her eyes soften as she recognizes me. "Como estas nena? No te he visto por ahí." I nod my head. "Si. Fui a la universidad en New York, me gradué y me quedé allí. Gracias. ¿Como has estado?" The lady smiles. "Bueno. Bueno. Go sit sweetie. I see you are busy." She eyes Jax up and down as a faint blush creeps up her cheeks. I laughed and turn around, heading for a table. Jax follows suit and takes the seat in front of me. "Since when do you speak spanish?" I grill him. "Since I first started coming here. To California. Then Niko helped me more and more when I moved here three years ago." "Makes since." "Yeah. So. What did you major in in school?" He asks, switching the convo from him to me. " I got my bachelor's in social work and counseling. I wanted to work with mentally challenged people." He nods his head just as the lady from the taco truck brings us our food. Perfect timing. No more questions.
