As I entered Mallory's room, concern filled me. "Hey, Clark," I said to my Beta, who was diligently guarding her. After what happened earlier, there was no one I trusted more with my mate's life than my brother. "How is she doing?"
Clark replied, "Her vitals are stable, but she hasn't woken up yet after the shock."
I heaved a sigh, worry gnawing at me as I considered the impact of the recent events on our future council meetings.
