After the incident, I couldn't stop feeling worried about my mate. Even though Mallory and I hadn't known each other for long, I could tell she was telling the truth about being innocent. Eyes never lie, and when I looked into her soul, I knew she was innocent.
Not being able to see my mate made me even more frustrated. I really wanted to be there for her, to comfort and support her during this tough time. So, I decided to check on her.
As I entered the dungeon, my heart was heavy with worry for Mallory. The place was cold, dark, damp and filthy. I clenched my fists, remembering that this was the place where my mate would spend her days.
