I turned my body around on the pavement, and just as I secretly expected, it was Lily walking out of the building. But the exact moment her eyes landed on my form standing next to her mate, she froze completely in her tracks, her face turning pale with fear. I looked directly at her and asked exactly who was inside resting.
She swallowed hard, clutching her bag as she looked back at me. "Why exactly are you here, Desmond?"
