I looked down at the hem of the gown, trying to hide my fluttering heart. "He isn't back just yet. He sent a delivery driver to drop off the box ahead of time. The note said he was currently being held up with some urgent business, but he promised he would be here at the apartment in just a few minutes. He will be back soon."
Lily’s smile grew even wider, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
