The room fell into a heavy, suffocating silence for a moment as I stared up at him. Jack spoke with so much venom, acting as if he already knew everything about my life, and as if I had personally offended him somehow.
Lily’s face twisted in immediate shock.
"Jack, what exactly are you saying?" she demanded, stepping forward. "Ana is my closest friend. Why would you say something so incredibly cruel to her?"
