I watched as Derek hit Desmond, his fist moving with incredible force. The heavy sound of the punch echoed down the quiet hospital corridor.
Even Desmond as an alpha could not stop his fist. The power behind Derek's strike threw him back against the wall, leaving him struggling to find his balance.
Seeing the absolute rage in Derek's eyes, fear gripped my heart. I did not want him to ruin his life or get into deep trouble because of me. I stepped forward quickly and held Derek’s hands and told him it was okay, trying to pull him back from the fight. I told him that he would kill Desmond if he continued to strike him like that.
