Times Three

Chapter 8

It is already afternoon when Aspire came back and we start practicing, this time I omit the thought that hinders me from our practice. He did not scold me with the mistakes instead he teaches me with the steps I find hard, and allow me to take break for fifteen minutes to practice my performance. Both of the clubs agree to coordinate with each other and they are five of us going to perform and a crew in the dance club to perform five days from now.

The first performer was the music club then follow by the dance club, as usual some of us will sing or play instrument but I choose both. Me singing while playing guitar together with Aspire who will also play guitar, one of the members of the Supreme Council update us that as long as it will make the audience feels nostalgic about their ‘First Meeting’. My performance is no headache since both of us can sing and play instrument, if it were not for incentives I would rather stay at home. 

Aspire stops the practice for today and stands up to answer a call, it is his friends asking where he is. I did not intend to listen to their conversation but he put it in speaker while he fix his stuff. Their call takes sometime so I also stands up, pick my bag beside him when my stomach growls like a tiger ready to attack his prey. I blink fast and slowly look at him with a ghost smile, still on the phone and ready to leave.

I do not think twice and slap his arms, hiding my face from embarassment. He pulls me for a hug to cover my face from him and bid 'Goodbye' to the other line

"Have you eaten lunch?"

"I am waiting for you the entire morning. Thought I made you mad."

I swallow hard from confessing and pulls from the hug. Quickly getting my stuff and run straight to the nearest restroom to change my clothes. Why did I say those words?

Searching for my phone to call Annika and asks if she is okay since hours have passed, but she is still not here. My eyebrows curls from the sight of my dead phone, I remember that I forgot to charge it last night. So, instead of being stress about my phone I search for my wallet and see all of my cards.

From the dancing a while ago, I must have burned the fats from the heavy meal I ate on breakfast. Should I eat more heavy or light food? Mother and father are in there own trips and they would not bother calling. They are not calling and forgotten that they have a daughter left. I hop due to the excitement about getting a buffet this afternoon.

At the front gate, a problem suddenly resurface. Fash fetch me and Mr. Santy is probably at home, my phone is dead so I cannot contact him. I fish out my wallet and search for a cash, but cards only appears. I remember hiding a cash with me but a memory flashes, when I pay for sandwiches for two and gave the other one to KID.

I bit my lower lip with a drag shoulder, left the front gate and another memory flashes, where Aspire kidnaps me. I rush to the back of the school, with a cool and nice jump I reach one branch of the tree and use my body to jump from the it, landing from the other side.

A pain suddenly tingles my body and I looks for its source. My right legs has a small but not to deep cut, blood can be seen since I am wearing a mini skirt. I am confident to climb that wall since I know no one witness that humilating scene I did, but unexpectedly a cut from my legs

"You easily learn how to climb that wall, but not your safety. What to do with you Gomez?"

I look at the man leaning on the wall and see Aspire with his arms crossed around his chest.

"How did you know I am here?"

"You seriously asking me that?"

A smile is the only response I give him, turns my back and started walking away from him. Talking to him is just a waste of time, my lovely babies are waiting for me. Just ignore him and you will get your reward for being a good girl to your parents.

"I know a cafe who sells doughnuts. Strawberry filled doughnuts with fries and ice tea."

He just said something that made my ear o****m. I am a bit hesitant because he is Aspire, but as I said he is Aspire and can drive me to that cafe to meet my doughnuts. In addition, he might as well pay for my bill so mother cannot track what I bought with her money.

I made a decision and walks a bit faster to him, his smiles widened and leads the way. Aspire could not help but tease me about being poor that I do not have cash on me for emergency purpose. I asks him how did he know and he explains that he is following me since I left the restroom. He predicted that I will go to the back school and scares me that he will report me to Fash.

Bad Levefre!

After walking for thirty minutes, with my aching foot and Aspire being a bully, I could finally taste my babies. I run without minding the long walk and excitedly tell the cashier my order. When ask if I have cash since their mobile payment is not available as of the moment, I feel like someone throw a bricks in my head. Instantly getting blue of what I hear and say sorry for the trouble.

Aspire stops me from leaving and pull out his wallet to pay, the cashier starts to prepare my order and told us to wait in one of the table. We chose to sit on the window side, facing the street. He suddenly stands up and went to the cashier.

A waitress came with my order without Aspire I started eating, a phone vibrating catch my attention because it is definitely not mine. I look at the phone where Aspire sits and the screen flash his father's name. It looks urgent but it is not mine, I look at him who is busy at the cashier so I answers it.

I quickly ends the call, get our bags and pulls Aspire out of the cafe, without taking out my babies. What matters now is we go straight to the hospital, I tried to be as calm as possible but I am getting pressured my his constant questioning about where are going. I look at him but resist to say a word, it is their family business and the only thing I can help is to bring him there as soon as possible.

We finally arrive the hospital and he falls into silence. I get his wallet to pay for the fare. He looks puzzle when I told him to get in to the emergency room as soon as possible. With a confuse and frustration he still obeys me and run inside the hospital.

When I got the change, I started looking for him when I saw KID on the other side of ward with Annika. Looks like they are fighting judging by Annika's facial expression. I walk to their side and calls Annika, she turns her head and hopeful smile appears in her face. She embrace me and begging me to get her out of the hospital. She also complain that KID made her have an X-ray to check if there are any complications.

I caress her head and told her to stay for more minutes, KID is with her by the way. I ask the nurse station where I can find Aspire Levefre, it is not that hard to get information since they came from influencial family.

"Room 5, VIP Room."

Without thinking twice, I run even though running is f*******n in the hospital. I reach Room 5 and saw Aspire sitting on the bench just outside the room, I walk leisurely and sits next to him. I never see his vulnerable side, until today. He looks dejected and lost.

We just sit there silently. I took out his phone and show it to him, asking for his approval to use it but he looks only on the ground, without blinking.

I just use it to text Annika that my phone is dead and call Nana that I might not be going home tonight. Also, I ask her to reason out why. She did not reply but I am sure that she knows what to do.

The doctor is out with Aspire's father, they look relieve that made the guy beside me exhale audibly. Mister Levefre look at us and I smile at him, he smiles back acknowledging my presence. Aspire seems to remember that I am with him and tells me to go home but I refuse, he wanted to drive me home but his father disagree.
