39 Myla My tail sways below me. Swish. Swish. Swish. It’s like the tick-tock of a clock, marking the passage of empty time. Around me, the forest lies silent. Gentle breezes rustle the nearby leaves. Clouds obscure the moon. It all adds up to one conclusion. This is one lonely branch. Using my tail as a kind of anchor, I stick the arrowhead end into the branch beneath my feet. Stepping forward, I swing forward until I stand upside-down and nose-to-nose with Lincoln. “Hey,” I say.
