Out of His Past
Long warm days passed by without much change. The restaurant and hotel had been open for a while, and people came and went like a dripping faucet.
Talon had managed to avoid town for a month or so and was glad to just be home. Aggie, however, not so much. She had a list and was running out of supplies. The trip to town was usually a once a month adventure and she looked forward to it like a small vacation.
Talon harnessed a team to the buckboard and drove it across the bridge to the house. After Aggie and Reed were loaded, he made sure that the doors were all locked. He double-checked the iron cave door.
