She walked in, her hair in a high ponytail and a dab of make up on, her thoughts a mash up of many things. She locked the door after she had flipped the lights on, checking the bars to see what she needed to grab before she opened. Jackie paused on her way to the stock room, though, as she smelled something. She turned around and saw Bobby coming in the back way, a bag in his hand.
“Are you just getting back?” she questioned him, knowing that had been a good four hours since she’d seen him at the beach. He stopped in his tracks and looked up at her and then looked her over.
“What? Oh, no. I went to grab something to eat.” His eyes traveled over her once more before he turned to a nearby table.
“It smells amazing, what did you grab?” Without thinking, she started walking over to him, as if his body was calling hers.
“My guilty pleasure, Chinese. And the place down the way smelled good.”
“Yeah, my weakness as well. And yes, that place has some great food.” She blushed slightly. “I’ve done a couple trades with them; they bring me some food and I’ll give them some drinks to take back.” He laughed, setting the bag on the table.
“That sounds like a fair trade to me. Do you want some? I have more than enough.”
“Oh, no, you eat. I got to go grab some bottles.” He waved his hand, opening a container and she groaned. Yeah, that smelled amazing to her.
“Are you sure?” he asked, grabbing a fork and taking a piece of chicken, holding it out to her. She glanced at him for a second and then walked over, wrapping her mouth around the fork and taking the offering. She heard him groan and she looked up at him, seeing his eyes focused on her lips. Of course, that help in the shower did nothing for her now.
“That is good, what is it?” she asked, her gaze still locked on his.
“Kung Pao chicken. I have a thing for spicy.” She lifted a brow, her mind taking that in many other ways. And if there is anything she picked up on about this man, he rather enjoyed going for the double meanings.
“I do too.” Well, hell, she might as well flirt right back with him. He smirked and his thumb reached out, swiping at some sauce by the corner of her mouth.
“Missed a spot,” he whispered, slipping his thumb into his mouth and sucking the sauce off. ‘Oh s**t’ her mind screamed at her over and over again. She knew that Bobby would be bad for her, but in such a good, good way.
Her eyes locked with his once more and she could feel the room getting smaller on her. She took another step closer, wanting nothing more than to put her lips once again on his. And say screw all the reasons why that was a way bad idea.
“Jackie?” Jackie blinked, as did Bobby; the spell broken between them. That was Justin, she knew. Usually the door would be unlocked and opened for him.
“Coming,” she called, which caused Bobby to smirk.
He leaned close to her and whispered in her ear, “no you aren’t, not yet anyway.” With that, he pulled back, gave her that wicked grin, grabbed his bag and headed up this place. She let out a breath and walked to the door, her nerves shot.

For the next three hours, Jackie served her customers and tried her up most best to get those moments with Bobby out of her head. And sadly, she was failing a lot of the time. The looks, the double meanings, the hot ass feelings, they all kept running through her mind and she was hoping he’d come down soon. Not that seeing him would help; in fact she was sure it would only make those feelings worse.
“Jackie?” Her head snapped up and she looked over at Justin.
“Yeah?” she asked, trying to focus on what he was saying. He leaned his hip against the bar, his arms crossed as he watched her.
“Did you hear anything I asked?”
“I’m sorry Justin; I was lost in my own thoughts.”
“I need to take next Tuesday and Wednesday off; I have some exams I need to study for.” She thought about it and nodded.
“I can get Buzz to help Wednesday and I can hold down the fort Tuesday. Those days aren’t too horrible around here.”
“Or I can cover; it’s not a big deal.” Jackie let the voice float over her before she turned around to look at Bobby.
“Are you sure?”
“Perfectly. Not like I have much going on,” he offered with a shrug, a smile tugging at his lips. Hell, she didn’t mind clocking another day with that good looking man.
“Well, thank you Bobby.” She walked over to stand before him. “What can I get you?”
“A beer.” She nodded and smiled before grabbing it for him.
“Here you go, on the house.” He winked as he took a swig and she had to bite back the groan. “What brings you down?”
“Got a little lonely up there. Thought I could see what company I could find down here tonight.” Jackie tried so hard not to let her back stiffen or let her eyes narrow at that comment. Sure, she didn’t have any claim on the man, but she didn’t want to hear about that.
“Yeah, there are some gorgeous ladies in here tonight,” she offered, turning her back to him, wiping down the counter.
“There might be, but only one is looking sexy,” Justin piped in, leaning his arms on the bar and making a show of looking Jackie over. “I mean, no woman in here, Jackie, fills out those jeans like you do;
“You must be blind, Justin.”
“No, he’s not, I agree.” Bobby nodded, giving Justin a glare who only shrugged.
“Yeah, you both are crazy. I mean, look, those ladies at that table are sexy in their skirts,” she offered as she nodded her head at them.
“Sexy in skirts,” Justin said, sliding up to Jackie and whispering loud enough for Bobby to hear, “is overrated. I’d rather see an ass that jiggles in a tight pair of jeans, like what you got on.” Jackie’s eyes flew to Bobby’s as they flashed in annoyance. His jaw clenched and he grabbed his beer, quickly getting up and walking away.
