That night, after she locked up and counted the money and put it away to be deposited, she sat at her desk, hearing the man above her moving around. She couldn’t say the kiss felt wrong, because it didn’t. But it was, for a few reasons.
For one, she was his boss. Not that that was a big thing in her book. She worked under the thought that as long as the atmosphere and work environment was okay, you could do whatever. But she didn’t know where he stood and what his thoughts were.
Two, the 12 year age gap; he was sexy and good looking and why in the world would he even look at her? It was obvious many females were eyeing her new bartender and that was great, and she knew she held no candle to those young sexy lines and curves. Not that she looked old, but she didn’t quite look like them.
Three, she wasn’t the type for a harmless fling. She had two kids and an asshole ex husband and the last thing she thought she would do would be mindless flirting and mindless s*x. That was never her. But maybe, she needed a change? And if not Bobby, then maybe some of the young cute guys that rolled in? She didn’t look her age if they were hitting on her. And it wasn’t like she was going to be taking time away from her kids; they always came first.
With all of that on her mind, she finally left her office and walked out to her car. When she came in tomorrow, she would apologize to Bobby, maybe she had read him all wrong. She knew his past, knew the trouble he was running from and knew she shouldn’t get mixed up with that.
----
He watched her leave from the window, checking his phone for the time. She had been down there for an hour; doing what? Couldn’t all have been work? So, what? Maybe thinking about him and about that amazing and breath taking kiss? One that had never experienced before.
He walked away from the window and to his room, running a hand over his face. He plopped down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. He didn’t regret kissing her, he quite liked it. But he did regret the fact that she was his boss and she maybe didn’t work like that.
Troy helped him out with moving and getting him this job; the last thing he needed to do was screw this up. Or get his ass into more trouble. Again, not that he thought she would do anything. She could have slapped him or said something afterward, but she didn’t. In fact, she looked as dazed as he had felt. And he had kissed quite a few women, sad to say, but none had made him feel like that. He didn’t know if that was a good thing, though, or a bad thing.
He sighed and rolled over on his side, staring at the wall now. Maybe he needed to f**k one of the chicks that had hung around tonight? Maybe that would help him get her off his mind and he wouldn’t be thinking so much about her? Usually that helped. f*****g someone often cleared his mind and he could focus and regroup. He was often thankful for times like that; it was a recharge and most people didn’t understand it. And with that thought in mind, he finally drifted off to sleep.

The next day, Jackie walked into the bar before it opened and waved at Buzz before walking over to him.
“You’re here early.”
“Yeah, kids are with friends since there’s no school, thought I’d be nice.” He laughed at that as he restocked some bottles.
“So, rather than have some moments of peace and enjoy your place, you came to work?” Jackie looked around before looking at Buzz.
“This is my bar.”
“Never said it wasn’t. And I know this place is as much as your baby as Sam and Dylan are. But, I also know you enjoy your own house. So, what brings you by?” At her sigh, he nodded. “Jackie, it’s not up to me to tell you what to do, and you know that. But that man, he’s still a boy. And not to say you can’t land yourself a good looking young fellow, but one such as him; won’t be good for that amazing heart of yours.”
“You don’t think I know that Buzz? Anything that may happen can’t. And I came here to talk to him about that and nothing more.”
“Did something happen after I left last night?” Jackie rolled her eyes at his tone.
“Nothing bad, just a kiss.” Buzz lifted his brow but remained silent for a moment while he watched her. Anyone who could see could pick up on the sparks between these two. But for Buzz, Jackie was in a tough spot, for she had her heart broken by her ex and was still dealing with that bull s**t.
“Kid is out back.”
“Thanks Buzz,” Jackie said as she walked away from the bar and out back, spotting Bobby by his new bike. “Nice one, you just got her?”
“Yesterday,” Bobby answered as he stood up and faced her.
He licked his lips as he looked her over in her shorts and tank again. God, didn’t she know how killer she looked like that? Not that he was thinking that way, he couldn’t. His mind was already made up and he was not going down that path.
“May I?” she asked as she walked over, her hand running over the seat.
“Go ahead.” She threw her leg over the side, her hands gripping the bars and every thought he had of being good, of telling her it was a mistake, all vanished when she did that. In fact, the only thought running through his mind was could he f**k her on that bike? That would be something new for him and something he’d enjoy.
“Yeah, she’s a beauty. It’s been a while since I’ve ridden.” He closed his eyes at that. He knew she was talking about the bike, but images of her on top of him, hands pushed against his chest as her t**s bounced around, were all that came to mind and he struggled to fight his raging erection and his groan.
“Uh, let me know and you can borrow her.” f**k, that was not what he wanted to say, but the innuendo wouldn’t be welcomed right now. Not when he was trying to curb himself.
“Thanks. Um, Bobby,” she started as she climbed off the bike, “can we talk?”
