Balls and Prayers Next morning we wake up to a miserably rainy morning. On days like this it is not only unpleasant to be outside, but also kind of futile as people don’t linger aimlessly and are much harder to rob. We go for a round anyway, but apart from trying out my new boots, it’s fairly useless. The little we get we spend on hot chocolate in a friendly little bakery where we sit around listening to fresh gossip. Everyone is talking about the latest attempt on Sir Arynn’s life. Some speculate why he stays in Vemi instead of moving into his castle. The general consensus is it’s because the place is cursed. One well-informed dame announces that the knights are staying in the Black Bull because the castle needs renovation and after the work is done the liege lord will hold a ball. Hear
