Ghost Story The next morning it starts all over again. Peggy serves breakfast, I make the beds, empty the chamber pots and wash-basins, and fill up the jugs with water. I quickly search the rooms but there’s nothing under the mattresses or behind the closets. I still don’t steal the expensive shaving kit. My only comfort is that it’s a miserable cold weather outside. Gushes of wind throw the rain pouring from a desolately gray sky, at the windows. I would not go out stealing in this weather.
