When they were a few blocks from the Allure building, Sophia waved Emma and Grace goodbye as she got out of the cab. Her eyes scanned the street ahead, searching for the familiar black sedan. It was parked a few blocks away, the headlights blinking to life as she approached. She smiled faintly, appreciating the driver’s punctuality.
As she reached for the back door, the driver’s side opened. To her surprise, Alexander stepped out, adjusting the cuff of his tailored suit.
“You want me to be your driver now?” he asked, his voice carrying an amused undertone.
Sophia froze for a second, startled. “Alexander? How… How are you here so fast? I left you at the Image Club an hour ago.”
His eyes twinkled with subtle mischief. “Thank you?” he prompted, gesturing toward the front passenger door.
