Chapter 4 - First Day of Work

Natasha and her friends went home from the bar. She can't forget what happened back there. How dare that man would tell her not to wear this kind of dress, well if it’s not directly said but it’s still the same meaning. Its nonsense to wear some shabby clothes when going at the bar, like she would ever do that.

As she entered in her room, she took a shower and after that she dress up with her usual nighties. As soon as her back hit the soft mattress, she fell asleep.

Morning came, she was awakened by her alarm clock. She got up and went to the comfort room to do her morning ritual.

Today is her first day of work, so she shouldn't be late or else it will be a bad impression to her boss.

After she prepared herself, she went downstairs and goes to dining area. She then saw her mother, father and brother who were already eating breakfast. She greeted and joined them.

"So, it's your first day of work today?" her father asked.

"Yes dad." She answered while eating.

"Wow! Congratulations baby" her brother exclaimed as he was proud of his little sister.

"Thank you brother." she said with a smile.

"Congratulations and good luck sweetie." her mother also congratulates her.

"Thank you mom" she also said with a smile.

"Good luck princess." her dad told her with a proud smile plastered on his face.

"Thank you dad" she replied with a big smile because she knew that they were proud of her.

She looked at the clock above inside the dining area, when she saw the time she immediately stood up and said "Oh! I have to go first or I will be late and I don't want to have a bad impression with my boss and co-workers."

"Okay sweetie. Take care and good luck." her mother told her.

"Thanks mom. Dad, brother I have to go. Bye take care." she said with a smile.

She went out of their house and went inside her car. She arrives at the company before the time for work.

As she was walking her way, she was looking for her phone inside her when suddenly someone bumped into her. When she looked at the person, she thinks that today is her bad luck. She just saw the man whom she doesn't want to meet ever again.

Her blood boil when he just passed at her and didn't even bother to apologize to what he had done. What an arrogant jerk! She just only said to herself.

She sighed to calm herself and went inside, then a woman approached her and asked her with a smile

"You must be Miss. Natasha Claire Ford?"

"Yes, I am but you can call me Asha." she replied with a smile.

"Okay. I'm Ysabelle but you can call me Ysa for short. Please follow me for I will show you your office." Ysa told her.

While they were walking, Ysa asked her "How are you related to Mr. Adam Japeth Ford?"

"Oh! He's my older brother." she replied.

"Really? Is it your company were into Construction Company, right?" she asked again.

"Yes." she answered politely.

"I was just wondering why you applied to other company when you can work in own company?" Ysa asked with confused look.

"Well I just want to experience working on the other company before working on our own company." she explained. Ysa just nods her head.

When they arrive on her assigned office. "So here we go, this is your office. They will be your colleagues." Ysa said while pointing to other people who were working.

"Thank you so much" she replied to her.

"I will now leave you because I have a lot of things to do." Ysa said.

"Okay. Nice meeting you." she said with a smile.

Ysa smiled and said “Nice meeting you too.” then turned to walk away.

While she went to her office, she saw the table with lots of paper works on top of it. "Okay Claire, let's start working." she said to herself.

Seth was in hurry a while ago because he has a meeting of the board members so he didn't even said sorry to the person he bumped into and he didn't know if she was an employee in the company.

After the meeting finished, he went directly to his office. As he arrive he sat down in his swivel chair and start working. He was signing some document when he call his secretary. "Ysa bring me coffee." he said as he press the intercom.

"Right away Sir" Ysa replied.

While waiting, Reuben suddenly came inside his office. He didn't even bother to look at him while asking "What are you doing here?"

"Bro, did you know the news?" Reuben asks him.

He furrowed his eyebrows while looking at him

"Since when did you become a gossiper?" he ask.

The door opened as his secretary went inside bringing his coffee. After that, Ysa went out.

"Ouch bro! I just heard that to our other employees." he said acting like hurt.

He rolled his eyes. "They said that the daughter of one of your client is working here." Reuben said.

"Who was that client you’re talking about?" he asks while he arch his eyebrows.

"They said that it’s Ford." Reuben answered.

"Oh the Ford Construction Company?" he asks and his friend nodded his head as a response.

"Well, what's wrong with that?" he asks again.

"Well a lot of them were wondering why she prefers to work here instead on their own company." Reuben said shrugging his shoulders.

"Just let it be. Anyway they were our business partners they are not our enemies." he just only said although even he is also wondering why when she can just work in their own company.

After the conversation, Reuben exited in his office while he continue to his work.

The day went well but their paths was not able to cross and it give relief to Natasha. She went home and eat dinner together with her family. After that, she went to her room and prepare for her sleep.

While on the other hand, Seth was thinking when he will be able to see the woman on the other day. He went home and eat dinner with his parents. After that he went to his room and prepare for his sleep.
