- Y/N POV - Today was the day I had finally been transferred to the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Britain as well as the first day for my dad's new job at that same school. My parents had ensured that I was not to be left behind since that would be considered "abandoning" me. I was hoping to spend fifth year with my best friends at my old school. I was deeply missing my best friends. The fun little adventures we could have had and struggling together through the tougher classes. A sad sigh escaped my lips and my gaze lingered on the window, beyond it was the beautiful scenery of nature. At least that was one of the good things so far that had happened, together with the fact how comfortable the seats were in probably all the compartments if not just the one I picked of the Hogwarts Express. My parents went ahead at my new school to have everything settled in, after convincing them, leaving me to have more time to say my farewells to my friends and left the next day as well as for my siblings. I leaned my head back and let myself relax, listening to the calming music through my headphones. My peace did not last long, being startled by the loud opening of my compartment door. Removing my headphones, I looked at the intruder with a glare. "Who the f**k are you?" The platinum haired boy stood tall and proud until he heard my words. His features formed a sneer and he looked at me as if I was beneath him. "First, do not dare to speak to your superior that way." His greyish green eyes narrowed. "Second, I should be asking you the same question." I paused my music and pushed aside my phone for the time being. Feeling agitated at whoever the brat was, I stood up and spat, "First, what the f**k are you gonna do to me, wussy. Second it is none of your business nor should it matter who I am." I shoved him backwards. The boy stumbled backwards and his eyes widened for a split second. A not so well hidden triumphant smirk played on my lips, seeing his surprise. His eyes turned dark and I felt his hand quickly wrap around my throat and shove me back against where I sat, his other hand already holding onto his wand that was still in his pocket. Slowly, he leaned his head towards my right ear and whispered. His mint breath tickling my ears as he enunciated every word in a husky voice. "I said do not talk to me that way, you filthy little mudblood." "Take. Your. Hands. Off. Me," I stated, struggling to say the words. I guess I really didn't have much of a choice in the matter and there was going to be a fight, unless I hit the sweet spot. "Now why would I wanna do that, sweetheart?" he mocked me, though his grip loosened slightly. "I ain't your 'sweetheart'." I pulled my hands up to his shoulders and brought my right knee up to his crotch hard enough so he released his grip and bent over, clutching his jewels in pain. "And you choke me like a b***h," I said in a calm tone, watching him closely for his next move. If he was willing enough to choke someone he'd never even met then what else would he do? Seeing how he was weakened enough not to attempt another attack, I sat back down. I straightened my skirt and crossed my legs, bringing my gadget close to me. If the pompous brat had any braincells left, he would leave the compartment this instant. The pale boy slowly stood to his feet and gave me a supposedly piercing glare that had not effect on me at all. "You'll pay for this, b***h! My father will hear about this!" "Yeah, go ahead cry to your daddy. That's the only thing you're good at!" With an amused smile on my face, he flipped me off and went out, limping his way down the empty aisle. I wore my headphones and continued to play music. Honestly, what's the worst he can do? I thought to myself. I let out a low chuckle, leaning my head against the window once more and silently wondering when I was going to meet him again. I decided to check outside just to make sure there was no surprise attack. After a quick scan of the aisle, I saw a few people present yet he was nowhere to be found. The train abruptly stopped for Merlin knows why and I was thrown to the ground. The odd thing was I did not hit the floor, instead landing on someone's hard chest. I looked up while rubbing my head from the fall to see who it was. A smile made its way to spread across my face, seeing who it was. Messy hair, emerald eyes, and what was on his forehead was a dead give away. "Harry?" I quietly questioned. "Y/N?" he returned. I nodded at him and a look of understanding dawned on his face, then mirrored my grin. Hearing a wolf whistle from not afar, I realized what a...suggestive position we were in and those present were openly staring at us. Looking back at Harry, he seemed to notice too and we scrambled to stand up. Once we did, I could not stop myself from hugging him, wrapping my hands tightly around his torso as he did the same. "It's been so long..." I whispered, after pulling apart from the warm hug. The train started moving again and I quickly held onto something, afraid to actually fall on the ground this time. I heard Harry laugh and it unlocked so many memories from before that I would have almost forgotten if I had not met him at this moment. The one and only Chosen One was once upon a time one of my friends back when I was neighbors with him in the muggle neighborhood when. My pureblood parents were intrigued by how muggles live so they moved in next to the Dursley's. "I missed you!" I said, my wide smile never leaving my face. "I missed you too, Y/N! So how's everything been?" he questioned. "Pretty good, I'd say. Dad got a new job at Hogwarts so I had to transfer here," I answered. I then wearily asked, "So, how is it back at yours?" "Just the usual," he said ruefully, "but nothing you should worry over. Just rough housing like us boys do." "Well, at least we have a lot more time to hang out now!" I said, excitedly. For now letting the topic about his home slide and hoping for the best for him. "I actually made some friends here," Harry began shyly. "I'm sure you want to meet them! They're great!" Giving a nod, we walked back to where I was and I grabbed my luggage on our way to wherever he was bringing me to. When we arrived, it was unlike the small private one, it was spacious and there were four benches on each side of the area where a bunch of people sat, talking amiably to one another. A girl with brown bushy hair waved at our direction and the ginger haired boy beside her gave a grin. I gave a wave back and sat down across them with Harry on my right, my luggage placed above us together with theirs. "Hullo there, I'm Ronald Weasley," the freckled boy introduced himself. "I'm Y/N Y/L/N. Pleasure!" "And I'm Hermione Granger. You must be the new student!" she stated. "Yup! I am Y/N," I repeat myself just to make sure she caught on, seeing how she seemed to be restraining herself from bombarding me with questions. "Nice meeting y'all. Any friends of Harry are friends of mine." Out of the corner of my eye I spotted the same blonde boy from before through the small window separating the two compartments. Did he really have to act all mysterious? My curiousity took over and I looked to Harry asking, "By any chance, do you know who that blondie is?" He raised his eyebrows then turned his head around, a clear frown marring his features. "That's Draco Malfoy." "A right bugger he is," Ron scoffed. "It's best you stay away from him, but I would not mind hexing him-" Hermione gave him a hard smack on the shoulder and looked at him. That seemed to be intimidating enough for him to stop ranting about Draco. "She's a new student and the last thing that would be good for her is you encouraging her to start a fight!" "Sorry, mum," he grumbled, making the rest of us laugh. Well, I don't need his influence at all, I thought, amused. "Why do you ask about Malfoy? What did he do to you?" Harry inquired, glaring back at where he stood. Aside from choking me. "Oh, nothing in particular. Just got this strange aura from him," I answered distractedly. Draco continued to look at me. What did he want from me? The boy even had the audacity to smirk at me. I rolled my eyes at him and refocused back on the conversation the three were having, trying my best to ignore and forget that damned face of his. - Draco POV - With a smirk sent on her way, seeing how she was staring at me. I recieved an eye roll in return which was to be expected so I looked away from the window. I sat back down together with my bodyguards and just realized how sweaty my palms were. She was just like any other girl. Still, I could not disagree she was a fine one to look at. "Who you looking at, Malfoy?" Goyle asked and I snapped out of my thoughts. "Nothing," I stated coolly. "Damn, Draco. Have you seen the new student? She is fine," Crabbe said, a hungry look in his eyes that only made my blood instantly boil. "Yeah, and your point is?" I said through gritted teeth, hoping the duffer got the hint. It seemed I had given him too much hope, hearing his next choice of words. "Well, if you ain't gonna try to get with her, I will," the plump boy said. I could not hold myself back any longer and I lunged at him, my wand pressing against his throat. Ignoring Goyle's quiet pleas to stop, I hissed, "The hell you will. No one, and I mean NO ONE, will touch her, understood?" All he did was nod and I released him, sitting back down. I pretended nothing had transpired and that there was no tense atmosphere. For Merlin's sake, I had just met her and I already felt protective over her. When I had her against the wall, how she did not back down or was afraid in the slightest was almost arousing to me. Nothing more than that, I thought to myself. Just another bint to f**k with. - Y/N POV - When we arrived at Hogwarts in our robes, dare I say it was even more magical than my previous school. The humongous castle was a stunning sight and it felt like my new home already. The four of us headed to what Harry called the Great Hall. He informed me that a magical a hat would choose what House I would be sorted in. After introductions of what each house is, sung by the Sorting Hat itself, the first years were up first. After a long while, it was finally my turn to be told where I belong. I shifted on the stool in anticipation and an old scottish woman placed the dusty old hat on my head while I could feel all eyes piercing through my soul. "Hmm where to put you..." the hat spoke in a gruff voice. "Interesting. Very interesting indeed. The best house for you is...SLYTHERIN!" The hat was then removed from my head and applause came from the table which I assumed to be where I was, from seeing how they all wore green and so was I at the moment. Making my way to the table, I sat down at the very front and made myself comfortable. Looking around, I spotted the pompous blonde boy from the train sat about three seats down on the opposite side. "Oh. This is gonna be fun," I said to myself with an evil smirk on my face.
