I made my way to my room as Emmitt caught up with me. "That's all you're going to share? That we're going to Washington?" He asked me. "Look you may trust your friends but I don't" I said. "They'd rather you lose your...mate...than work with me. That should tell you something" I added. "I gave the an alpha's order to calm down" He told me and I scoffed. "You may have but have you changed any of your laws?" I asked him.
Emmitt looked for a minute then it dawned on him. "No I haven't" He said. "Exactly. The second I give you the exact location anyone of your pack would have justifiable reason to kill me including you" I explained him. His head snapped up to meet my gaze "Nic I would never kill you.
