Thirty-Seven: ReedIt was cold. Kind of gray and quiet. It was almost Samhain, or Halloween for most people, so there were ridiculous decorations spread across the lawns on my street. The pumpkins and the lights I could get on board with. It was the zombies on the porch, fake bodies hanging from trees, and the all-around blood and guts vibe going on that I wasn't cool with. Samhain in our world was about ending the season of light and entering into the darker half of the year. It was about honoring the dead.
