Sixty-Two: Rowyn

2084 Words

Sixty-Two: RowynI was pretty sure my mom spent the entire day on the phone calling in favors from her friends. Being in our community, we knew a lot of people with varying skill sets that might seem uncommon. I slept off and on throughout the afternoon, but before dinner I learned that Mary was coming over. That actually sounded good. I always felt better after a session, though it was usually Reed who was working on me. I had to stop letting the thought of him hit me in the gut. Mary was a comforting soul. Her presence radiated warmth, and it was a welcomed feeling. She'd set up a massage table in our living room, and my mom had gone to pick up T, so the house was quiet. Mary passed no judgment, but let me know she understood that I wasn't feeling connected. That was an understatement.
