My TRUE Mate

Marena's POV     After I sent Ryan to his w***e, I chose to wait to know that he was going to remain faithful, or he was going to have one last cheater moment.  What I decided to tell Ryan is that when I marked him, Mia put a curse on him that if he cheated that he would receive a burn like he is being branded with a cattle prod for a warning, but the other consequences would happen later.     I chose to block the mind link from Ryan, as I returned to the pack my father had asked what my plan was.  I told him that I know that Ryan cheated, and Colton killed, but I feel like I'm missing something here.  Father said to me that he had sent Ryan to his room in the packhouse and that he is meeting him at the training grounds at 10 am.      "Father, what do you have planned," I asked.  "Marena, you need to trust me, but I need you to understand you have always been my favorite regardless of how hard I was on you," he said.  "Yes, father, I understand, but you need to understand that I will continue to do what is necessary for my pack father."  "I need you to understand that this is not only your war, but we will also do this together, Marena," he said.  "Yes, father."       Father went looking to meet Ryan at the training grounds, he told me he wanted me to stay back, but I'm almost 17.  What can be better then watching my mate get his ass handed to him from my father?  I stood at the tree line, and I created a barrier so that nobody could smell me or tell my presence.  I slowly walked forward as I could see Ryan and Father; they were sparring on the training grounds.  Ryan's face was bloody, but it was healing, father didn't look like anything had happened to him.  Ryan then turned around, and he looked like he could sense me, but his father stopped him.  I could hear Alpha say to Ryan, "You may not think that I don't know what you have done to my daughter, but there are a few things you should know," he said.  Ryan looked up at him, hesitant with fear, "Alpha,  I'm not sure what you are speaking about."  "Ryan, look at me, do you think I'm stupid.  I know you are working for a human company, you have Marena masking your scent with her mark on you.  I also know that you have cheated on Marena as well, and she forgave you the first time, but the next time not so much.  You do understand that, don't you, Ryan?" "Alpha, it was a moment of weakness; it will never happen again.  I broke up with her, please don't tell Marena," he begged.  "You see Ryan, you underestimate my daughter, you already told her; once through that lovely mark, and the second time you just confirmed what she already knew.  Marena, dear, please show yourself," my father said.  On cue, I used my magic and unmasked my scent.  "Thank you, father, I will take it from here," I said.  My father walked over to me, kissed me on the forehead, and walked away.       Ryan instantly stepped forward, grabbing my hand, "Baby, I'm so sorry.  It didn't mean anything; we are mates, please don't leave me."  I looked at him, disgusted, "Do not ever call me baby again.  I forgave your indiscretion the first time, and we made love.  The second time you did it regardless of us making love, we made love, and then you went for a f**k.  Ryan, you have committed an act of treason; for this, you will lose your wolf, and you will live amongst humans.  Tonight you will lose your wolf and leave my land."  I shook his hand off as I walked away; I could feel him running after me and placed a barrier up.  I mind linked my guards, and they chained his hands with wolfsbane and put him in the dungeon until tonight.  I waited until he was in jail and blocked his wolf from talking to him.  I walked down the steps into the cell and could hear Colton crying.     I stepped forward to his cell door, and I nodded to the guard, "It's fine, I'll take care of it."  The door flew open with the flick of my hand; I saw him sitting in the middle of the room with his hands bound.  I stepped forward, and his green eyes looked up at me, "Colton, we need to talk."  "Marena, is that you?  Cain left me and won't talks to me.  I'm so sorry for everything, Marena; please forgive me.  I never meant to hurt you; I know you loved your brother and Mom, even though they never treated you right," he said.  I looked at him, and let my wolf Mina come forward.  Mina's POV Cain, I know you are in there, talk to me.  Open up the mind link so I can speak to you. Marena, I have an idea. "What she said?" We need to get rid of Cain, and we need to take Ryker away from Ryan.  What if we take both wolves away, but we only keep Ryker and place it in Colton's body.  Cain is evil, but Ryker isn't.   "How would we do that?" First, we have to drain Colton of his wolf, which could be deadly, but we give him a choice.  We wouldn't tell him about placing another wolf inside of him, but with Mia, we could do it.   "Alright, let me give him a choice now." Marena's POV     "Colton, I have a proposition for you."     Colton looked up at me with those eyes, and he said, "What is it, Marena?"     "First, I need to get something off my chest, and I need you to hear me out fully before you make any rational ideas.  First, thank you for killing my brother, he was a nuisance, and although I loved my twin, he was unkind.  He was the one that paid that guy to try assaulting me on my first date.  Secondly, revenge tactic towards my mother wasn't bad, could have been done better, but she knew what was going to happen and didn't say anything, let alone do anything when she found out my brother's plan.  The reason you are here is because of Cain.  There is something we can do about this, but I'm not sure that it will be something you want."     "Look, Marena. First, you are welcome.  Secondly, you knew I always loved you since I saw you when we were little, you didn't know that I was human you just thought I was a big dumb dog coming to visit when you were playing in the back yard.  Thirdly, get rid of Cain, I would rather be human and know you are safe then worry constantly about him being ruthless.  I understand why you chose Ryan.  Just remember I love you no matter the cost," he said. I looked at him in awe; he's willing to give up his wolf for me.  This man has been watching out for me since I was little; he saw what my father did not.  He didn't cheat; he avenged for me and tried protecting me.  I'm getting rid of his wolf so that he doesn't have to deal with this any longer.  "Colton, you will lose your wolf tonight," I said. I turned around, and I could hear the scraping of his chains, I listened to his raspy voice, "Thank you."  On my way out of the cell, I looked to my right and nodded at the guard to shut the door.  He bowed, I told him in a whisper, "Be sure that he eats a good meal, it potentially could be his last, and I want to make sure his strength is up."  The guard nodded, "I will see to it that the prisoner eats."  I looked at him angrily, "You've known him since he was a pup, yet you cannot address him by his given name?"  The guard looked at me, mouth open, "Alpha I meant no disrespect, I call everyone prisoner as my job is guarding."  "That should change," as I walked away.   "Father, I'm going to my room to nap.  There will be plenty of excitement tonight, but please allow me some rest as I'm going to need all the strength I have." "Yes, dear," my father said.  I mind linked Jaxon, "Can you have an Omega bring me up a hearty lunch, please," I said.  Jaxon replied, "Yes, Alpha."
