Alpha Brian's POV

    After not hearing anything from Marena for over a month, I finally received a text message.

Hey Dad, Sorry I've been busy setting up the company how I want it, but I wanted to let you know that I'm planning on coming back for a few days if you are okay with it.  -Marena

I had texted her back a few times, telling her it was okay if she came back, I mean, it is her home, and she is bound to be an Alpha.  Something tells me that this isn't going to be an enjoyable visit, I haven't caught sight of Colton, but I've heard from Jaxon that he's not doing so well.  I talk to Ryan frequently through the mind link, and he asked for my permission to propose to Marena.  She never called to tell me she got engaged, maybe I'm just overthinking things.

I sit down at my desk, and before I can even scoot the chair in, I hear a knock at the door.  Come in, I say in walks Colton and a girl in tow.  I can tell she does not want to be here, but she's looking at him with such admiration.  "Colton, what can I do for you and...?"  "This girl claims to be the real mate to Ryan, and she says she has information on Ryan," Colton sneered at the Alpha.  What has this kid got up his sleeve now?  "Is this because you are pissed off that you are rejected by your mate?"  Colton raised his voice, "You know I'm pissed off that she rejected me, but I'm more pissed off that Ryan has her under some sort of spell."  I raised my eyebrow, "Young lady, can you tell me what in the hell is going on?"  She swallowed hard, "yes sir, Uhm, you see Ryan rejected me when he found out we were mates, he said that he would rather find someone more valuable and that he wanted to run a pack.  Please call me Clarissa, Alpha."  Clarissa put her head down and slowly smirked, I saw the smirk and then it occurred to me this was Clarissa, the young witch who was supposed to protect my family and Ram had told me she was killed.  What the actual f**k is going on, and why is Colton bringing me a witch.  "Young lady, you are not a wolf, what tricks are you trying to play?"  Alpha's voice is booming, angry, "Colton, what the f**k are you up to?"

Colton stood there shocked, he looked at Alpha, "I'm only telling you what she told me, I have nothing up my sleeve."  Alpha Brian knew what Colton was playing at, and he looked right at him, "Colton, you are being sent to the public square for 100 lashings, for treason against Blue Crescent Pack, and four weeks of solitude of your wolf Cain.  If he so much as comes forward, you will lose your wolf."  Colton looked at Alpha, and Colton's mind linked me. You think this bothers me; it bothers me. You left your daughter with a traitor.  Jaxon came in with James, "James, your son is committing an act of treason. I suggest you take him to the dungeon before the public lashings come in 2 days."  James looked at the Alpha, then back to his son, "What did you do?"  "The Alpha thinks I'm plotting something against Ryan and Marena, so he's sentencing me to 100 public lashings and four weeks solitude without Cain because he won't listen that his daughter is with a killer," Colton said.  Clarissa looked up, "Dearest friend, it's been a long time.  Did you think that I was gone for death?" she looked at Alpha.  Alpha looked at her like he had seen a ghost, "Clarissa, I have missed you so much, and I'm so thankful you are here.  Can you please change your appearance to your original appearance, so they understand."  Clarissa waved her hand, and she transformed back to her original appearance.  

"Guards, please escort Colton to the dungeon where he will sit until his public appearance."  Colton was pulled out of my office, and he tried communicating with Jaxon by the look on Jaxon's face.  Jaxon stepped forward, "Alpha, is what Colton said true?"  I smiled and looked at Clarissa, "My dear, can you do me one favor?"  Clarissa put her hand on my shoulder, "I know just the spell, but you need to bring back Colton."  I mind linked the guards and had them bring back Colton.  Colton came in with an evil grin on his face, "Find out the truth about your precious daughter's mate?"  James stepped forward and slapped Colton across the face, "Shut your god damn mouth and speak to our Alpha with respect."  Colton's eyes changed, and I could see his wolf trying to come to the surface, "I remind you, Colton, keep your wolf at bay until the hearing or you will lose him forever."  Instantly I saw his eyes change back.  Clarissa stepped forward, and I heard, "Awww poor Colton, thought he could use me to get to the big bad Alpha.  Unfortunately, we are to bear witness what will happen now and move forward; I sure hope you are telling the truth, or this will hurt."  Clarissa chanted, " To see the truth, to know the way.  I cast a spell in every way, by the power of three.  I conjure thee, to give they truth unto me."  

"Now, Colton, tell me, is Ryan a bad person?" Colton looked at her, "No, he's the best person I know."  I could see Colton struggle with telling the truth he was trying to fight the spell, but Clarissa's magic was more potent than Colton and his wolf.  I asked Colton, "Are you bitter my daughter rejected you as her mate?"  Colton responded, "She was supposed to be my mate, but everyone got in the way."  "What did you do that made her reject you as her mate," I asked.  "I f****d her good, then told her that I murdered that piece of s**t she went out with when she was fifteen," I heard him say.  "What else are you not telling me?"  Colton looked at him, and he turned pale, "What you don't know is that I was f*****g your Luna, befriended your son and I killed them both because they would try to deter Marena from being with me.  I had to make sure that there were no issues; what I wasn't planning was her to have a second mate."  My eyes got black, and I could feel my wolf try to take over

He slept with our mate, that f*****g piece of s**t.

Not only did he sleep with our mate, but he befriended our pup and killed them both.

Marena was right. He's ruthless and needs to be killed.

Let me rip his f*****g throat out.

My wolf was pissed, and Clarissa looked at me and nodded, "This is all the truth, sir."  James turned ten shades pale, and screamed through gritted teeth, "WHAT THE f**k DID YOU DO TO OUR PACK?"   I snapped my neck to the side, "James Xavier, what do you mean your pack?"  James tried backing up, but the guards caught him.  They shackled his legs and cuffed his hands with silver-coated in wolfsbane, just like Colton's hands, and legs are shackled.  James sneered, looking at Colton, "You stupid kid, you were supposed to make sure this was our pack."  I walked over to James and punched his in the face, and his nose broke open, and blood poured down his face.  "Now, you are going to tell me what I want to know, or I will have my witchy friend here, place you under her spell, James."  James cackled, and it made my skin crawl.  "Alpha, I'll tell you, you've been away for quite some time raising those shitty kids of yours, or leaving it to your cheating w***e of a Luna to raise them while you have been gone.  I convinced Colton that the only way that Marena would consider being with him is to kill her twin brother, her mother, and then convince you that Ryan killed them," he cackled some more.  "James, the Elders, are on their way, but so will my daughter.  Who takes the pack as Alpha tomorrow.  We will see how much mercy she shows upon you," I walked away, seeing James stuttering.  Colton looked up at me, "She's coming back for me?"  I looked down at him, "You are a fool to think she would give you something remotely as powerful as our pack after what you have done."  I mind linked the guards, put them in the dungeon away from each other, and inject wolfsbane into their system so they cannot try talking through the mind link. 

Clarissa sent a wink Colton's way, "Don't worry, handsome; I'm sure you will make a great damsel in distress."  Clarissa chuckled,  "Brian, do you want me to send word of this to all packs?"  I looked at her, "No, because James will be dead for treason against his Alpha and pack, and Colton well, we will see what my daughter has planned for his punishment.  She knew the second after they had s*x, but Clarissa, I need you to erase her memory of Colton, so there isn't a potential that she could come back for him afterward."  "Do you think that your daughter will allow me to do such a thing?" she asked.  "I'm not asking you, Clarissa, I'm telling you she needs the night they had s*x to be erased or distorted so she can just think she rejected him, I know she has feelings for him."  "Bry, I think this is a bad idea, but it's your daughter.  Just be careful," she said.
