Shimmering shades of days gone by, he helped me learn how far I could fly.” Her sigh echoed in my ears as I finished another poem reading she insisted on. “Was that one about Ehno?” I nodded, “The day I met him. It was the first time in my life I felt grounded by something other than my Mama.” “It was beautiful, Valik,” she breathed, curled up by the fire. We were at the cliffs, the same place where we first discussed the bond growing between us. The party for her birthday happened earlier, and now we were just relaxing in our own way.
