Chapter 35 The police station smelled like burnt coffee and desperation. Harper sat beside Sebastian in the waiting area, her leg bouncing with nervous energy. They had barely slept after Detective Morrison's call. Every sound in the penthouse had made them jump. Every shadow seemed threatening. By the time morning came, they were both exhausted and wired.
