I must be crazy. I don’t even know how I ended up in his car, sitting here with my heart beating out of rhythm while I pretend to focus on the city lights outside. I could feel his stare even when I wasn’t looking. Every time his eyes flicked toward me, my skin reacted on its own, like it knew before my mind did. Don’t look at me like that. Please. You’ll make me lose myself. His hands tightened around the steering wheel. The leather made a faint creak. His arms flexed with the movement, veins standing out, and I quickly looked away.
