After having lunch with Zoey, Alan left, instructing the caregiver to take good care of her.
That afternoon, Zoey's attending physician brought in a specialist for her scar treatment. Zoey expected to meet the plastic surgeon Alan had mentioned, but instead, she saw a pair of familiar blue eyes above the specialist's mask.

After his previous stunt of disguising himself as a delivery man to infiltrate Alan's apartment, he was now pretending to be a doctor to get into Zoey's hospital room.

Zoey thought sarcastically, but outwardly, she played along, coordinating with Francis to send the nurse and attending physician away, securing some time alone.
