Jax looked from Cassandra to Malekai with his mouth agape. He shook his head right before bursting into laughter as he still looked between the two.
“Man, Cass!” Jax laughed as he slapped Cassie’s shoulder. “You two had me going there for a minute. Werewolves? Seriously?”
“Jax, we are not kidding,” she told him as she looked at Malekai, who was standing beside his desk.
“I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do this,” Malekai said as he pulled off his shirt.
“Oh, hold up, man,” Jax said as he tried to back up. “Why are you taking your clothes off?”
Cassie explained, “Because if we shift while dressed, it rips our clothing to shreds. Malekai is taking his clothes off so he doesn’t have to go home naked or send me to his house to get clothes for him.”
