Edward The forest was still. Eerily so. I stood on a narrow path just beyond the university’s edge, my boots sinking into the soft moss, my eyes closed as the moon rose above the trees. I had to find him. Every minute without knowing where he was or what was happening had my heart shattering. It was better when I knew he was in the arms of another man than not knowing where he was. I wasn’t just listening to the wind. I was listening to him. My Albert. My mate. The bond between uw was faint, tangled by time, distance and Albert’s fear. But it was still there; a silver thread stretched tight, humming with urgency. Though we hadn't formally acknowledged it, I could still feel it though faintly.
