Chapter 6 Simon had to come and peel Jo out of bed the next day, when two o’clock rolled around. Jo hadn’t managed to get out of bed yet. She hadn’t slept much, of course. She’d dozed off for a little while at around four, only to spring up wide awake at six after a nightmare involving the stairwell. Valeria had turned to stone, and Isabelle’s tongue became a whip. Jo welcomed insomnia after that. Simon pulled the covers away. “Look. You need to get up and clean up. It’s time to rehearse.” Jo buried her face under the pillow. “What’s to rehearse?
