“Spicer. I did not get the best employee of the month for it to be taken away just because you can’t wake up.” Amma says. “I am coming,” I answer back, my voice barely a whisper. I woke up from the nightmare I call my past life a few minutes ago. Damn. I would rather watch Mirabel scream in ecstasy. When I hear Amma yelling from the sitting room, I prepare hurriedly and join her downstairs. I eat breakfast as she plays with Xander’s hair. We are all silent. No. Xander hasn’t changed.
