3 hours earlier at Haverford, a private island off the coast of Florida. All borders of the massive Private island, was covered in Runes and spells. That left it not just invincible to the eyes but inaccessible to anyone that wasn't personally invited by the owner of the Private island. The Vampire King of North America, Gwynn Sutton. The small paradise was the secret resting place for the Sutton Vampire Kings. The island was a massive stretch of lakes, magical springs, rich vibrant forests, and mountains. In the center of the island was a massive 13th-century properly maintained castle. It was surrounded by two massive cliffs. Lush fruit trees and flower gardens. Apart from the old steward, Edwin. A spirit being bound to the island. There was no other person on the island. But the sleeping Vampire king. Edwin was tasked with keeping watch of his master's resting place while the Vampire king recuperated. It was almost midnight. The temperature had dropped significantly. The sleeping Vampire King's rich essence that surrounded the island. Highly concentrated on the right tower. Making it next to impossible for anyone to get close to the part of the castle. Gwynn Sutton lay faced up on the wide king-sized bed in the master bedroom at the right tower of the castle. His once expressionless pale face gradually got warmer as the essence floating around the room was slowly sipping back into his body. For the first time in 200 years he was asleep. He felt something stir within him. Not rage, not thirst but... Urgency. His usually calm recounts of his most important memories, was interrupted by the helpless cries of an unfamiliar woman. ".... Heeelp! Heeelp! Someb_" He jerked out of the bed as a current ran through his body. Like a magnet, he was pulled out of the island into a bloody warehouse. ***** Lira woke up in darkness. Cold damp air clung to her skin. A foul stench choked her before she could even scream. Her eyes fluttered open. It landed directly on a pale lifeless face of a red haired woman mid scream. The moment she opened her eyes. Half of the red hair’s face had begun to rot. One glassy eyes bulged naturally. Dangling on the eyes of her socket. The other eye was still intact. The terror she had experienced in the end. Still clearly visible, Lira's breath caught. She slapped a trembling hand over her lips. To stifle the scream rising up her throat. She scrambled backwards. Bile clawed its way up her esophagus. As the lifeless female torso and face came into full view. There was something eerily familiar about this woman. The woman had been cut in half. Her head to waist was a short distance away from Lira. While her other half was at the other side of the room. She tore her eyes away immediately. Not that the other parts of the room were any better. It reeked of blood, rot and death. This place looked and smelt like a murder house. She held a hand over her nose and glanced around. It looked like she was in a warehouse of sorts. Based on the dampness of the air around her. This was either a warehouse at the harbor or somewhere close to the harbor. Her abductors thought of everything. There wasn't any way out. The windows were too high and far too small for her to slip out. There was only one entrance. Which was a black metal door. It had to be locked from outside. The door was missing a knob and the rest. The entire room smelt awful. With blood and other bodily fluids lining the walls and floors. She crawled to a dry corner by a wall and wrapped her arms around herself. Her entire body shook. She gnashed her teeth as a wave of pain rushed through her. She could barely think. Her mind was a mess of pain and fear. She jerked back. Until her back pressed tightly to the wall. When the door was pushed open with force from outside. An unfamiliar fully bald bulky man with pale unstable whitish-red eyes stepped into the room. Her heart sank as the man's gaze fell on her and his lips stretched into a sick wide smile. "No," she whispered, she tore her eyes away from him and scrambled to her feet. There was nothing human in his expression. Just a sick gleam in his eye. And a hollow absence where a soul should have lived. Her cane was nowhere in sight, not like she expected it to be. Her abductors certainly cared little for her comfort. She held onto the wall and limped to the other end of the room hoping to put some distance between her and the man. "Ahhh!" she stumbled backward as the man suddenly appeared in front of her. She hastily backed away. Which he found amusing. He threw back his head. Let out a deep laugh, and walked towards her. "Here little piggy, ha ha ha!" A chill ran down her back as the man's eyes glowed. She bit her lips and scrambled backward. Her heart raced the closer the man came. He was a few inches away from her. When she pulled her foot halfway out of her sneakers. She kicked her sneaker towards him. Turned around, and crawled towards the door. She screeched as he grabbed her ankle and threw her to the wall. Her vision blurred. Her head and shoulder hit the wall hard. She fought the nausea. While Struggling to get up. When she was grabbed by the neck and pulled to the door. Even if it felt useless, She let out a scream and thrashed around or tried to because she was starting to see black dots. She persisted, raised her uninjured hand. And began scratching at the hand holding her by the neck. "Heelp! Help! Please help me! Somebody, please Help me!" "f**k you are loud," the man muttered, "Shut it, b***h!" he slapped her across the face. He threw her to an iron bar a good distance away. 'is this the end?' she thought, a single tear rolling out of her eyes, 'Am I really destined to be killed by these things'. Lira held her hand over her head. She shut her eyes. While pleading incessantly for help. She silently prepared herself for impact. An impact that never came. She was caught mid-air and pulled into a warm hold. "There you are," a deep male voice said, making her pause. She blinked, slowly dropping her arm from her head, and looked up. She gasped as she saw the most handsome man she had ever seen. He looked like a dream conjured in the middle of a nightmare. Ash blonde hair tousled like moonlight. A unique set of green and brown eyes. Thin blush pink lips, and a slightly crooked nose. Which gave him a slightly rugged look. Eyes that had suddenly changed to blue and brown. Lira's breath hitch at his unusual eyes. she stiffened and quickly looked away. fear groped her. However his inhuman features strangely fascinated her more.. She forgot the present danger for a split second. That is until she heard a loud growl from behind her. She hugged the man tighter and buried her head in his chest. A sudden bright red light surrounded the entire room. Followed by a heat so strong. It could melt metal. She hugged him tightly. His skin was ice cold. I heard loud growls from the rogue. She was completely lost in her fear. It never registered to her that the light could come from the man she hugged tightly. which She dismissed every single thought pointing to that when her saviour spoke. "Don't worry, little one. You are safe now," that was the last thing she heard as everything went dark.
