CHAPTER 12: [ OSVALDO'S POV ]

Rhodes walks in and stares at Ivanna - do they know each other?!

''Why does he need her?'' Ivanna looks at me '' we used to live in Spain for the first 6 years of Elora's life, when she was about 8-we moved to Italy , by 10 - my father ensured that she started training , she performed quite well and so he sent her on her first mission- she assassinated the whole lot of them! By 11 - we ran away from my father, we returned to Spain and she completed her training under civil conditions ,but he found our family. We managed to escape and fled to Europe and now we are in Santos! His initial plan was to let her take over the Russo mafia legacy at the age of 16 ,but we ran away before that could happen. She earned a special name in the Italian mafia - 'Lethal weapon', and that's why he is after her. I suspect he is using her for something to do with his enemies!''

I take in everything that she just mentioned'' that explains why she wants nothing to do with the mafia! '' Ivanna nods ''boss! the planes ready!'' I turn away from Ivanna while I load up on my weapons '' you coming?'' ''not yet! tomorrow I'll come through!'' I look back at her ''the plane will be waiting for you tomorrow then! ''

Before I walked out , I turned back to Ivanna '' you trusting me to save her -why?'' Ivanna walks up to me and stands at a distance. ''You helped her once unconsciously - I see potential in this alliance , after this, we can go back to being part enemies!'' I smirk'' I have a feeling that this mission will change a lot of things !''

[ IVANNA'S POV ]

I reached Bayside - I was in my office , collecting my passport, money , weapons and my special baby - Smith & Wesson M&P shield 2.0 -one of the best concealed pistols to carry.

I walked out of my office and my grandmother stopped me '' what's going on?'' ''he took Elora , I'm meeting Xandros in Italy!'' my grandmother swears in Spanish '' I got contacts in Italy- call me if something goes wrong!'' I was not even surprised that she had contacts there - she was the most respected and dangerous woman in the mafia for this exact reason! ''be safe!'' my grandmother kisses my forehead and I smile , I nod.

I called Zale on my way out since he was off base :

IVANNA : ''Keep things running over here and keep me updated on that drug lord!''

ZALE : '' Roger that! safe travels''

I get to my apartment , grab my clothes and get to the airport. It was about 2 am when I reached the plane , I saw someone all too familiar - Stella ! I grabbed my bags and walked to her. ''What are you doing here?'' ''you need all the help you can get!'' she wasn't completely wrong '' I hope you are right!''

I got on the plane and that guy that was staring at me -back in Osvaldo's office, was here. He escorted me to the back -giving me a private view. I take a seat and the hostess asks me what I want . I tell her coffee and she leaves.

My nerves were on edge and this guy staring at me was not helping. I got a quick eye at seeing things - that damn body of his. f**k! I should have been focused on finding my sister ,but in this moment I just wanted to rip his shirt off and feel his body.

''Its going to be a long flight , we should get to know each other a little bit, don't you think?'' I drink my coffee and look at him ''you know who I am , but who are you?!'' he smirks . ''I'm Rhodes - I know who you are ,but not your story!'' my eyes meet his . ''I'm the girl who was conceived unexpectedly , the girl who could never call a place home, the very girl that lives a life filled with blood, pain , no happiness whatsoever - I'm the one who strives for survival!'' I finish my coffee and he speaks '' the girl whose one hell of a mafia leader you mean!''

I smile and he smirks '' smile more often , it suits you!'' I roll my eyes ''smiling didn't get me where I am today! '' He gets up and walks towards my seat. I eye his body and he smirks .
