Chapter 7 Ekala laughed at Annie’s frustration when the bat colony flew off yet again. The creatures were supposed to be guiding them out of the cave system, only they seemed unable to grasp the concept that the human woman and Cherub girl were too large to follow them through the same narrow cracks that they used. Ekala had needed to entice them back four times today already—if it was indeed daytime. Even with all the glow worms, there was barely enough light for Annie to see her hand in front of her face, and keeping track of time in Eden was already a pointless exercise.
