She was slightly perplexed by their gleeful demeanor. “What’s going on? Did something nice happen in the kindergarten?”
As soon as she ended her sentence, she glanced at Estella and was puzzled. If something did happen in the kindergarten, why isn’t Essie acting the same way as them?
