CHAPTER 2: ALL NIGHT

2741 Words
The music softened as the night wore on, the bass fading to a low hum instead of shaking the floorboards. Most of the Kings had drifted to their rooms or collapsed on sofas in the common room, empty bottles clustered around their feet. Isabella had curled up in an armchair nearby, already half-asleep, her head resting on Nate’s shoulder. Duncan stood by the door, talking quietly with Drake, their voices light and easy—no urgent plans, no sharp warnings, just quiet talk of the days ahead. The shadow that had loomed for so long had finally lifted. The Crown was gone, and tonight, nothing felt heavy anymore. Tonight felt like breathing easy for the first time in years. I leaned against Ward’s side, my cheek pressed to his shoulder, warm and solid through his shirt. His arm stayed slung loose around my waist, his thumb brushing slow, idle circles against my hip where my dress rode up. Every touch sent little sparks skittering over my skin, every quiet laugh against my hair made my chest feel tight and full. When the last song ended and someone switched off the main lights, leaving only the glow of the lamps along the walls, I tilted my head up to look at him. His eyes were already on me, soft and dark, like he’d been waiting for me to say something. “Ward?” I said, quiet enough only he could hear. “Hmm?” He leaned down, his lips brushing my forehead. “Everything okay?” “Can I stay with you tonight?” My voice came out softer than I meant it to, almost shy. I’d never asked anyone for anything like this—never let myself want to be held, to be wanted, so openly. “In your room?” He pulled back just enough to look at my face, his expression shifting from gentle to something brighter, warmer, like I’d just given him the best gift he’d ever had. “You don’t even have to ask, sunshine. You can stay as long as you want. Forever, if that’s what you mean. God, you have no idea how badly I’ve been craving this—craving you—all night.” He stood, keeping his arm around me, and nodded toward the others. We paused to say goodnight—Isabella waved one sleepy hand and mouthed don’t do anything I wouldn’t, Duncan just smiled and gave a small nod, no questions, no lectures. We slipped past them and up the stairs, the wood creaking soft under our boots, the noise of the clubhouse fading behind us until there was only the sound of our breathing and the brush of fabric. His room was at the end of the hall, quiet and warm, lit only by the faint glow of a lamp on his bedside table. He pushed the door open, stepped aside to let me in, then clicked the lock shut behind him. The moment it snicked into place, the air between us shifted. All the careful distance we’d kept all night dissolved. Before I could even turn around fully, his arms were around me, pulling me back against his chest. His lips found the curve of my neck, hot and open-mouthed, and I gasped, my hands curling tight around his forearms. “I’ve been trying to be good all night,” he murmured against my skin, his hands sliding up from my waist to rest over my ribs, his thumbs brushing the undersides of my breasts. “Trying not to stare, trying not to drag you away the second you walked in. But now we’re here… now that everything is settled… I don’t think I can be good anymore. I’ve been dying to get my hands on this body all night—every curve, every inch, all mine to touch.” “Who said anything about being good?” I turned in his arms, looping mine around his neck, pulling his face down to mine. “I want all of you. Every part. No holding back. I want you exactly how you are—hungry, rough, mine.” He kissed me then, deep and hungry, like he was making up for every moment he’d spent holding back. His hands roamed everywhere at once—down my back, over my hips, squeezing my thighs through the thin silk of my dress, like he wanted to memorise every shape and curve. “f**k, this dress… it’s driving me crazy. Can’t wait to feel your skin against mine, no fabric between us, just you and me.” I fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, my fingers shaking a little, desperate to feel his skin against mine. He helped me, shrugging it off and tossing it aside, then pulled the straps of my dress down my shoulders. It pooled around my feet in a heap of black silk, leaving me standing there in just my underwear, my skin prickling under his gaze. “There she is. f*****g perfect. Every inch of you made just for me to look at, just for me to touch.” He stepped back for a second, just to look at me, his eyes moving slow from my face to my toes and back again, like he was seeing me for the first time. “You’re so beautiful,” he said, his voice rough with wonder and thick with want. “So perfect. I can’t believe you’re mine. This gorgeous body, all mine to worship, all mine to make scream. Now that we can finally just be.” Then he was on me again, his hands and mouth everywhere at once. He kissed my collarbone, the slope of my breast, lingering over every scar and mark like they were something precious. “Every scar, every mark… it’s all part of you, and it’s all mine. I love every single inch of you.” When his tongue swept over my n****e I cried out, arching into him, my fingers tangling in his hair. “That’s it, baby—let me hear you. Let me know how good it feels when I touch you like this.” He groaned, his grip tightening on my waist, and lifted me up like I weighed nothing at all. I wrapped my legs around his hips as he carried me to the bed, laying me back gentle before kneeling between my legs. He didn’t rush. He kissed every inch of skin he could reach—my stomach, my hips, the soft skin on the inside of my thighs—taking his time, listening to every little sound I made, pausing only to kiss the spot that made me gasp louder. “So soft, so warm… all for me. Gonna take my time with you, make you shake, make you beg for it.” When he finally pulled my underwear down and tossed it aside, he blew soft air over me and I shivered so hard my whole body shook. “Look at you… already so wet for me, dripping just from my kisses. So greedy for my mouth, aren’t you?” “Please, Ward,” I breathed, my hands clutching the sheets. “Patience, sunshine. Gonna make you earn it.” He lowered his mouth to me, slow and deliberate, and I cried out, my head falling back, my hips lifting off the mattress to meet him. He knew exactly what he was doing—slow strokes, then fast, then soft, teasing, until I was writhing beneath him, pleading, my fingers digging into his shoulders. “Tastes so f*****g good. Sweet and hot and all mine. Come on, baby—let go for me. Scream my name when you fall apart.” When he slipped two fingers inside me, curling them deep, I shattered, my whole body locking up as pleasure crashed over me in waves. “That’s it—milk my fingers. Squeeze ‘em tight. Feel how wet and tight you are for me? Perfect.” He kept going, slow and steady, until I was trembling, oversensitive, and only then did he climb up the bed to kiss me, letting me taste myself on his lips. “See? You taste like heaven. All this pleasure, all for me.” “Too much?” he asked, brushing hair away from my damp face, his eyes dark and burning. “Never too much,” I said, pulling him down to kiss me again. “Just… more. I want more of you. I want you inside me, filling me up, making me yours completely.” He stood to kick off his jeans and boxers, then came back to lie beside me, pulling me close so our bodies pressed tight together. “You want more? You’ve got it. Every inch, every thrust, all night long.” For a long while we just lay there, touching each other—his hands mapping every line of my back, my fingers tracing the scars on his chest and arms, soft kisses shared between quiet words. He told me how much he’d watched me from afar, how proud he was of how far I’d come, how much he’d loved me long before he dared say it out loud. I told him how safe I felt with him, how I’d never thought I’d get to have something this good, not with the threat of the Crown hanging over us. When I rolled on top of him, straddling his hips, his breath caught. “Casey… f**k, look at you. Perfect, all mine.” “I want to be in control for a little while,” I said, leaning down to kiss his jaw. “Is that okay?” “More than okay.” His hands settled on my hips, guiding me slow as I lowered myself onto him. “Take what you want. I’m yours. Use me, baby—ride me exactly how you need it. I’m not going anywhere.” I moved slow at first, gasping at the fullness of him, the way he filled me so perfectly it felt like we’d been made this way. “That’s it… take all of me. Feel how deep I go? How perfectly I fit inside you?” Then faster, finding a rhythm that made us both moan, my hands resting on his chest, his thumbs brushing over my thighs. “So tight around me… squeezing like you never wanna let go. That’s it, sunshine—take what’s yours.” He watched me the whole time, his eyes dark and bright, like he couldn’t look away. When he sat up to kiss my neck, wrapping his arms around me to pull me closer, the angle shifted and I cried out, burying my face in his shoulder. “Right there? That’s the spot, isn’t it? Gonna keep hitting it until you can’t take it anymore.” “Right there?” he whispered, and I nodded, unable to speak. He kept going, slow and deep, until my legs were shaking and I was clinging to him, my climax building fast and bright. “Come for me, baby. Come all over my c**k. Let go—I’ve got you.” He came with me this time, his hips stuttering against mine, his voice broken as he said my name over and over. “That’s it… f**k, that’s perfect. All mine. Filled up, claimed, exactly how it should be.” We lay tangled together for a long time after, until the heat faded and I thought we might sleep. But Ward wasn’t done. He rolled me onto my side, fitting himself behind me, his arm draped heavy over my waist, his lips pressing soft kisses to the back of my neck. He pushed into me slow, steady, and I gasped, my head falling back against his shoulder. “Deeper this way… feel how far I go? How I own every inch of you from the inside?” This position was deeper, slower, every movement dragging a quiet moan from both of us. “So good. So wet and tight and perfect for me. Never getting enough of this—never getting enough of you.” He whispered all the things he wanted to do with me, all the places he wanted to take me, all the quiet days and lazy mornings we’d get to have now that the struggle has ended and our future is finally clear, and his words tangled with the pleasure until I felt like I was floating. “Gonna wake up next to you every morning. Gonna make you come every night. Gonna love you hard, forever.” When I came again, it was softer, slower, spreading warmth through every inch of me. “That’s it… let it take you. I’ve got you.” He followed soon after, holding me so tight I could barely breathe, like he was trying to keep every part of me close. “Mine. All mine. Always.” We shifted again, Ward kneeling between my legs, pulling me toward the edge of the bed. He looked down at me, his gaze full of so much love it made my chest ache, then pushed into me deep and hard, making me cry out loud enough that I hoped no one could hear us through the walls. “Look at how perfect you take it. How greedy you are for every inch.” This was faster, hungrier, his hands gripping my hips to keep me exactly where he wanted me, his eyes locked on mine the whole time. “So beautiful when you’re wrecked for me. So perfect.” “Look at me,” he said, his voice rough and commanding. “I want you to see who you belong to. I want you to see the man who owns this p***y, who owns your heart, who owns every part of you.” “I belong to you,” I said, my voice breaking. “And you belong to me. Every part, forever.” “That’s it. Say it again. Remind me. Remind yourself.” That was what pushed us both over the edge. He came with a loud groan, his movements faltering, and I shattered right after him, my vision going white, my whole body thrumming with pleasure that felt like it would never end. “f**k—Casey! That’s it, baby—take it all. Every drop. All mine.” After that, things slowed down. We lay curled together, lazy kisses and wandering hands, until we were both ready again, softer this time, moving slow like we had all the time in the world. “So good… always so good with you.” We changed positions again and again—me on my side, him pulling me close; him lying back, me resting against his chest; him holding me up against the headboard, our legs tangled together—until the first pale grey light seeped through the curtains, and the room felt soft and quiet. “Could stay like this forever. Just us, no one else, nothing else matters.” We didn’t talk about leaving. We didn’t talk about tomorrow. We just stayed there, tangled up in each other, learning every sound, every touch, every way our bodies fit together like they’d been waiting for this all along. When the sun was fully up, Ward finally pulled away just enough to grab the sheet and pull it over us both, tucking me tight against his side. He kissed the top of my head, his hand rubbing slow over my back, and I listened to the steady thud of his heart under my ear. “I’ve never felt like this before,” he said quietly. “Like nothing can hurt us. Like we can just… be. Like we’re finally free to just be happy.” I lifted my head to look at him, his hair messy, his eyes soft, his skin warm and marked with the bruises I’d left on him. “Me neither,” I said. “I thought I’d always have to fight for everything. But with you… it feels easy. Like I’m home.” He smiled, pulling me in for one more slow, gentle kiss. “You are home. Always. And you’re mine. Always.” Somewhere down the hall, a door creaked open. Somewhere outside, a bird started singing. But for a little while longer, we stayed exactly where we were—safe, loved, and finally, truly ours.
