Sarah and Jake always seemed to end the night together, usually talking and joking until Jodi turned up and they went home. sometime Jodi wouldn't show and they would crash together. Their final night started much in the same way, Sarah was laid across Jakes lap as they talked about the adventures they were about to start. Sarah loved the way Jakes eyes lit up as he talked about following in his father's footsteps and joining the army. All Jake ever wanted was to make his father proud. When he spoke about the things his father had done and been through Sarah couldn't help being a little nervous for her friend. she couldn't imagine not getting him back some day. He kept her going, their arguments and competitions kept her motivated to do more and be better. She didn't want him to forget who he was and she most importantly didn't want to lose him. As those thoughts were crossing her mind she looked up and found him gazing at her. " what is it" she couldn't help but feel like he was thinking the same things as her. " I'm going to miss you Sarah". as he said these words he looked into her eyes leaned down and kissed her. Her for instinct was to pull back. what in the world were they doing. They were best friends, nothing more. But the moment his lips left hers she wanted them back. Sarah leaned up sealing her lips back to his. As their kiss deepened sarah became lost. she wanted this, needed this. Jake took his lips away but only long enough to pull her on to his lap.She wrapped both legs around his waste and leaned ready to taste his lips again. As she leaned forward howei, he whispered in her ear "I've dreamed of this night for years, and I intend to make it a night neither of us will ever forget". Sarah didn't take time to process his confession, she was too busy trying to control the need his words had caused. She grabbed the short hairs on the back of his head and slammed her lips back on to hers. They spent the night exploring each other in ways the never expected. Learning more about one another than they had the entire time they had known each other. They had forgotten all of their concerns about their friendship, or the what if's. That night they reinvented their whole relationship. Sarah woke the next morning, a little sore but with a smile on her face. That was until she noticed Jake was no longer there. Had she dreamed the whole thing? That couldn't be, she still felt the aches in her muscles from the night before. She got up to explore the house, maybe he just went for a drink. But as she walked towards the door it burst open. "someone told me you were in hear, I could barely believe it, my sweet innocent Sarah losing her V card before she even made it to the first day of college. So, how was it? Oh, I bet you're sore, how big was he. Well I guess it doesn't really matter, they're all big the first time.
" So you're not upset? " Sarah expected Jodi to go ballistic. Not excited, and did she really just ask her about her brother's size? "where's Jake?"
"Jake? who cares where Jake is, we're talking about you hooking up last night. Besides Jake had to leave early this morning, I dropped him at the train myself."
"what! he's gone, like really gone? " Had her best friend really abandoned her the morning after? Maybe it didn't mean as much to him. That was the moment she knew she'd never tell anyone. She was embarrassed that she thought it meant something, and terrified what Jodi would say when she found out. This would be her little secret.
