"Do you want a little spice in that coke?"

Now that I'm alone and unable to find Mary or Thomas, I go to the kitchen. I take a coke and look around. For now, I'm kinda having fun. I knew I would but not that Zain would be that nice with me. While I'm drinking my soda, a college boy comes and smiles.

- Do you want a little spice in that coke?

- What? No

I took a coke to not have that little spice... The guy smiles at me and take a sip in the bottle he was handing me.

- You don't know what your missing

- Exactly what I want.

The guy looks at me like if he was trying to analyse me.

- Let me guess, high-schooler? You're what? Freshman or sophomore? I never saw you before

- Junior but I'm more the library type than parties.

- Junior year? Same as my cousin, do you know him?

He asked me that as if I knew who he was and who was his cousin. It could have been anyone and I wouldn't have any idea if it was not Thomas's cousin's party.

- You must be Thomas' cousin then?

- Yeah, you know Thomas?

- I'm Mary's best friend

The guy smiles and nod.

- So you're Ella. My cousin's pretty happy you came.

- Yeah, so much I can't find him...

- He and Mary probably are upstairs. Do you want me to show you the way? I could show you the rest of the party if you prefer. Thomas' friends are my VIP guest.

I look at him insistently as I'm asking for his name.

I look around me for a bit and take a sip of my soda.

- I think I'd rather see the party a bit. Mary forced me to come, I'd like to make her believe I was lost for a bit when I'll her.

- By the way, Thomas told me that you and Mary stayed to sleep, you'll sleep in "Thomas' room". Here it's a guest room. You'll be you 2, Thomas and some of my friends.

He looks at me and wink.

- But the bed will only be for the high schooler.

Yeah... Nothing is better than sleeping with my best friend and her boyfriend. But it's still better than sleeping on the floor or with strangers.

David continue the visit of the first floor and we arrive in front of the stairs. At that time, a group of guy from my history class sees me and shout, while running in my direction.

- No, I'm not, I haven't drink anything else than a coke

The guys lift their's eyes to the heavens when they hear me. One of the guys put a beer in my hand.

I look at them, not sure that I must do that. Zain and Yan smile at me and I take a sip. It taste a bit weird but it's not that bad. I slowly take a few more and the guys cheer me. I take some time to look at their costumes. Unlike David who spent a long time on making his, the guys seems like they knew they had to dress up one hour ago. Two of them have masks cut out of cardboard, one of them, Theo, who was in elematary school with me, have a costume we made in second year. It's a black cape and a black mask. When I see that the guys don't understand what we are talking about, I explain that I have two twins brothers.

- They're 11 and kinda two monsters. For exemple, Eddie asked for weeks to be dress as a Werewolf and tonight, he didn't wanted anymore. Yesterday, he was fine with it. He even ripped my legging.

I smile at Zain. Mary also thought it but no, it wasn't plane's to be like this.
