"Your costume sucks Ella!"

- You have to come tonight Ella.

- Yeah, we changed the date of the test last week. Everybody failed except for you.

- I don't think you need to study that much in fact...

Those two are starting to really annoy me. I can't stand staying with them right now. They're so proud of making me go to Thomas' cousin's stupid Halloween party... Bored of them, I stand up and start to leave.

- 7 30 at mine Ella!

Once at home, I let myself fall on the sofa and make my mum laugh. She comes close to me and put a hand on my head.

- My little girl is going to her first party...

- And she don't want to!

- You promised Mary

- I didn't meant it! I thought we wouldn't be friends anymore

- Stop saying that, you sound like you don't wanna be her friend right now

I sigh and look at her.

- Right now, I don't want to.

- Stop being rude and go upstairs. I wanna see you as a werewolf.

I go upstairs and put on my Halloween costume. Less than a quarter later, I'm opening the door to children. A witch, a unicorn and a bottle of plastic. Weird one. I close the door and go to the kitchen while my mum take a pizza out of the oven.

- Eat before your brothers and your dad come back home, you won't have time after.

So I eat the pizza while talking to my mum. She'll take me to Mary's house while going to work. Just before the twins come home, she tells me.

- Darling, your costume is great for a family night but not for a party

- I don't care, I don't wanna go anyway.

Once the twins are home, I go upstairs to help them putting on them werewolf costume.

- Werewolf are dumb. I wanna be an astronaut.

- Stop being sully, you're the one who asked for werewolf two months ago, you are gonna be a werewolf.

Eddie don't wanna be a werewolf, as last year, he didn't wanna be an inspector anymore on Halloween night. The first year he did this, we tried to give him another identity but now, we don't care anymore. I try to help Elliot putting on his pants but Eddie give me a kick and hurt me. I shout

- Dad! It's your turn! I can't stand the twins anymore.

I go back downstairs. My mum looks at my pants and smile.

- That's better.

I look myself and see a scratch. Damnit! Eddie must have done it while kicking.

- How can it be better? My costume is ruin.

- It's not. It's more... Teenager.

My mum then ask my the make her an Halloween makeup, that a try and kinda fail.

- Don't worry Ella, it's Halloween.

My dad and the twins come back, all dress up and we take a picture. Then, I go in the car with my mum and she put me at Mary's house. First thing she tells me when I come in is:

- Your costume sucks Ella!

Thanks a lot...

- Well, I didn't planed on going to a part with it

- Hopefully, I did. In my room, now.

We go into Mary's room. She makes me take of the sweater covered of fake fur and hand me a crop top with fur on the shoulders.

- That doesn't look accurate

- Halloween costumes are not supposed to be accurate. You're suppose to look good. By the way, are you sure about that mask? I know it's a masked party but the all face?

- You're changing my all costume, I keep that mask!

- Roooh! What ever... If you're bored of it at one time, I made you this one.

She show me a little mask that just cover the eyes. It's Grey with just a bit a fur on the edge. Wait different from my original mask. That one cover the whole head and look like the head of a werewolf.

We hear the doorbell and Mary say goodbye to her mum, telling that she will sleep at Thomas' cousin's with Thomas. She says OK as long as I slept there too.

- Don't worry mum, I'll ask Ella's mum but she'll be OK with it, she's so happy I finally got her daughter to a party.
