35 WOODSTOCK Things are stressful but exciting. Graduation is one week away. Lately, I’ve been helping on the yearbook staff, and it comes out tomorrow, two weeks late. The exciting news is that the editor-in-chief of the Werchet newspaper, Mr Willard, who published my space shuttle poem, asked if I would be interested in writing a letter called a “Farewell to My Classmates” to publish in the paper. I agreed, so here I am, putting everything I need to do aside and sitting at my desk to write it at this moment. I take a minute to reflect back to the classmates I started in kindergarten with; there are several. Hard to fathom we have all grown up together. Seemed so slow going through it, but now that it’s over seems to have passed fast. Anyway, here it goes. A Farewell to My Classmates
