PREGNANT
Carmen phoned Woodstock to tell him she had something important to meet with him about. Woodstock was sitting in Kenny’s garage on the couch, feet propped up on a coffee table drinking beer and thumbing through a Hot Rod magazine when Carmen came and sat beside him. Carmen reached over, grabbed his hand, and told him she was pregnant. Woodstock’s face went deathly white, and she wondered if he was going to pass out. He looked as if he was about to go down for the count.
“Pregnant?” he echoed.
“Yes, but there is more,” Carmen said.
“What?” he asked.
“I’ve been having an affair with Clay Wickman and it may be his. I slept with him two days before you. Woodstock, I’m going to terminate. Clay will pay for it, regardless of whose it is.
“Pregnant? Mr Wickman?” Woodstock asked
