PEACE
Woodstock and Darla spent a lot of time thinking about how they needed to establish peace between them because they loved each other and were family. Several times over the last few months, Woodstock wanted to pick up the phone and say he was sorry, and many times, she wanted to say she forgave him, but that phone felt like it weighed 100 pounds, it was so hard to pick it up. Darla decided to enroll in college, and so she needed her birth certificate from Kenny’s house. Reluctantly, she drove over one day to get it from the filing cabinet, hoping that Woodstock’s ride would not be in the driveway. She arrived, and the driveway appeared empty, so she parked on the street and let herself in. Little did she know Woodstock was sitting at the kitchen table eating a sandwich.
