The morning sun filtered through the curtain and immediately roused me from my fitful sleep.
Rubbing my bleary eyes, I immediately fumbled in my pocket for the familiar feel of my cigarette pack and lighter. One smoke had always helped clear the cobwebs of my mind and I hoped that morning wasn’t going to be any different.
