“He left just like that?!”
“Tell me about it!”
I had so many emotions running through my veins at the same time but at that moment, the confusion I felt was taking the lead.
No matter how hard I thought about it, I just couldn’t understand it. I couldn’t wrap my head around why Peter had suddenly gotten up from our date that was going smoothly and even after hours of explaining, neither could Sophia.
It just made no sense.
“Did you try to call him?”
“I sent him a text.”
“And?”
“No response,” I scrunched up my nose as I glanced at my phone again. “He didn’t respond. And yes, he read it.”
“Now that’s crazy!” Sophia raised her voice. “I had no idea he was such a jerk when I allowed you get set up with him.”
“It’s not your fault. Something must have happened. I guess.”
