Cleo’s text came in alongside a mix of emotions.
I sighed, reading the message over and over again. She wasn’t going to school. She didn’t want to go to school. She didnt have classes today.
No matter how much I read it, I was able to come up with only one meaning. All those messages were synonymous to only one thing- she didn’t want to see me.
I groaned, immediately cursing under my breath. I couldn’t blame her for not wanting to see me. I was being a coward right from the moment we left my secret place with her without confirming what went on between us. I should have told her right at that moment how I felt about her properly. And I should have held her hand and told her we’ll get through anything that could happen between us together.
