CLEO’S POV “Bye dad!” My steps out of the house were slow. Slower than they were supposed to be. After all, I was supposed to be excited given it was my first day of freedom- my first day of going to school by myself. But I wasn’t excited. Not even half as I was supposed to be as instead of focusing on the positive side of things, all I could think about was the fact that Ash was yet to reply my messages. He was most likely still not back from the camp yet but at the same time, I was running out of excuses. He could at least read my messages instead of leaving them on delivered the entire time.
