I couldn’t deny, I was surprised Cleo agreed to me offering to spend the night at their place.
And I was even more surprised at myself for making such a request.
We had our dinner in silence, both of us obviously having different things on our minds. I, on one hand couldn’t help but continuously wonder what suddenly came over me to have me make such a request.
It wasn’t too late for me to drive back home and driving in the rain had never been a big deal for me. I could also get up really early to make sure I got to her place in time the following morning so why did I have to make up all of those excuses?
I sincerely meant one though- the fact that I didn’t want her to spend the night alone in such a huge and empty house.
After several awkward minutes, we finally rounded up
